~ Pre-Halloween Fun ~

I'm not sure why, but this Halloween I have regained a new appreciation for the holiday again. Not that past Halloweens haven't been fun, but for some reason having a two-year-old in the house really brings out the FUN in Halloween again. Last Friday we carved and painted pumpkins! Lane did a sweet carving job on our "Jones" Pumpkin and Olivia and I painted a sweet cat on our other one. Lane and I decided to do 8 Nights of Horror and watch a scary movie every night leading up to Halloween. Saturday night Lane and I went to the Haunted Forest with some friends and tonight we went to Little Bear Bottom corn maze with our friend Amy and her two cute boys! Lane, Liv and the boys tackled the Haystack Fort, we all braved the "big" corn maze and after we were treated to an outside showing of Disney's Legend of Sleepy Hollow. By the time it was over we were all freezing and it was time to go home. So much fun and we haven't even reached Halloween night yet!!

I love you pumpkins!!

Yeah! Made it to the top!!

Going in!

Liv was fascinated by the stamp they put on her hand!

~ Pumpkin Walk ~

Last night we took Olivia to the pumpkin walk, not knowing if she would like it or not. She loved it!! She ran from scene to scene saying "Look at that one!" It was great to get out and do something all three of us could enjoy! I have one question though, why is it little kids never get cold?!?

~ Memo To Mommy ~

I found this cute post on one of my friends blogs (thanks Lacy) & thought I would share it cause it is so true! All of our little ones want us to remember these things! Too, too cute!!

*Stop freaking out about the mess!*
There's always time to clean-but how often do we get to make mud pies?

*Love me,*
even when I'm naughty. I'll only be this age once.

*Be patient.*
I do everything for a reason, but I don't know enough words yet to give you an explanation.

*Let me do it.*
I know you can do it faster & better, but sometimes experience is the best teacher.

*Don't expect too much of me.*
I want to do what you ask and make you happy, but I'm still little.

*Don't try to reason with me when I'm having a tantrum.*
Trust me-I can't hear you over my own screaming.

*Keep your promises.*
It's all about trust. When I'm a teenager, you'll understand why it's so important.

*Don't keep asking me if I've been good.*
I'm not even sure what that means, but if I was bad I'd never admit it!

*Don't let me think that you're perfect.*
I feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one who makes mistakes sometimes.

*Set limits.*
I can't actually eat a whole box of cookies-I just want to see if I'd get away with it."

~ Honeymoon ~

We had the funnest time on our Honeymoon!! Lane booked us a 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise that stopped at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We spent our day in Cabo exploring the city. It was my first time in Mexico and Lane really showed me the ropes since he lived in Senora for two years. It was hot and humid but we had a great time. In Mazatlan we took a bus tour of the city, went to Senor Frogs and then played in the waves on the beach! The waves were huge! The biggest either of us had seen! And in Puerto Vallarta we went zip lining in the rain forest! there were 11-14 zip lines and then you had to repel down. Lane and I are both scared of heights but we had a blast!! We then ate at Happy Lobster and did some shopping. On the ship we took ballroom dance lesson, went to shows, shopped, danced at the club, and ate and slept - ALOT!! Every night our room attendant left us different towel animals that we thought were pretty funny! It was the best trip ever!!

~ The Big Day, The Best Day ~

WE DID IT!! WE FINALLY TIED THE KNOT!!

We are now OFFICIALLY The Jones Family! We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception in Lane's step dad's backyard. The weather was perfect and so was the day! It was also my birthday and Lane made a big deal of it that morning with cake and gifts! And surprised me later during the ring exchange in our ceremony with a gorgeous wedding band that I absolutely love! Thanks babe, it was my best birthday ever! We were lucky to celebrate this occasion with great family and great friends and appreciate all their help! I couldn't ask for better memories of our wedding! I love being Mrs. Jones!!
