Lisa, this post is for you!!

This is the newest member of our family! We got Tank back in August when he was 16 months old. He's a papered Yorkie but his ears don't stand up and he's like 10lbs. So even though he has papers we still wonder....but we love him anyway.

Honestly this little guy brings a lot of happiness to our home. He lets Olivia maul him and carry him all over the house. She plays with him just as if he's another little kid and most of the time I think he enjoys it just as much!! Except for maybe these days.....

...when she dresses Tank up in her doll's clothes. But let's be honest, I find quite a bit of joy myself dressing this little guy up in sweaters and we even got him these cute pajamas!! Cracks us up every time we put them on him!!

I always thought myself to be a "big dog" kind of person. Having had Boxers in the past (the best boxers) I never thought I'd own a little "rat dog". But I knew that Olivia would love to have an animal that she could carry around. I was so apprehensive about getting a dog because we had just built a new house and we weren't sure if a dog would reek havoc, but Olivia had been begging for an animal for some time and it seemed as good a time as any. After having Tank for only a couple of days, we had all fallen in love with him! He has the funniest personality and he's always doing crazy things, making us all laugh. He reminds us of a cat because he's always crawling on the back of the couch and will sit in the windowsill so we call him our little Kitty Kitty. I'd forgotten how GREAT it was to have an animal companion!!

My sweet friend Lisa has been going through some sad times with three of her dogs that she has had forever. One past away recently and the other two have had some cancer scares, but things are hopefully looking up for her cute Millie and Sadie. I hope these pictures of Tank will make her smile!!

First Day of School

Olivia started Kindergarten this year! She goes to a Charter School and has to wear a uniform which is frustrating to a flamboyant little princess dresser (Olivia, not me! Ha! Ha!) But she is getting more used to it even though we still have a hard time getting her to wear anything other than dresses or skirts. I'm not going to lie, I was not, at all happy for her to be grown up enough to go to school!! But I got to attend the first day of class with her so that helped me out some.

And this is how worn out school has made Olivia. Up until now, she would stay awake in her bedroom even though we had put her to bed till sometimes 10:30 at night. But since starting school, she is out like a light by 9!! And sometimes will even take a nap which she hasn't done for years!!

These are the head shot pictures that Gwen, Olivia's Music Theatre instructor took for their performance. I thought they were cute and wanted to get them posted.

Summer Theatre Class

Olivia loves to perform in front of an audience. She was always telling me that she wanted to "sing on stage." So we put her in a Music and Theatre class over the summer. They did skits from Annie and sang songs from Pete's Dragon. She was such a ham. There was one number where she was so exuberant doing her number that she had the whole audience laughing. She did such a great job! I love that she is outgoing!!

We also had her 6 month checkup at the dentist and still no cavities!! YAY!!

Spring Dance Revue

Olivia had her spring dance revue at the end of May. She makes me so proud how hard she practices and she really is one of the best in her class!! She is such a little performer and loves to blow her family kisses before her dance number begins!!

And this my friends is what happens when you fall asleep on your way home from your dance revue and mommy doesn't get your makeup washed off before going to bed!!

She looks like she had the roughest night!!

City of Rocks and Hogle Zoo

Early May we gathered my mom, Lane's mom and Lane's grandma and we all drove out to the City of Rocks for a day. It is such a spectacular place. Lane and I had never been there before and it really surprised us how awesome it was!! Olivia had a great time climbing rocks and chasing lizards!!

Later that month we did our annual trip to Hogle Zoo! I love these pictures! They are pretty much the same every year, the clothes just change. I still love going there!!

After a long day, waiting for lunch...so happy!!
